Episode 204: Digital Vs. Print

This week, Josh and Dietrich once again wade into the debate between digital and print books, sharing some new information as to what types of books do best on each medium. They look at the books that, due to art, special font, or other style choices, just don't plain work on Kindle, and they talk about the books that they far prefer to download rather than lug around. Dietrich talks about the benefits of having a massive library at his disposal, and Josh raves about the joys of Kindle sales. Before that, Dietrich looks at a Kindle book that uses gifs and graphical tricks to try to bring an aggressively mediocre book to life, Josh reads a short story collection by one of the most extraordinary science fiction authors he's read in a while, and a listener asks the pair about Neal Stephenson. Finally, Josh finds one of his favorite films of the year in a musical, Dietrich and his wife find a bit of solace in a quietly weird video game after an accident, and Josh, for once, gets to be the one at the forefront of the latest and greatest video games.
