Episode 187: A conversation with Alex Bledsoe and David B. Coe

Picture
This week, Josh and Dietrich travel to Chattanooga for the Steampunk Expo and Gothic Con, and while there, get the opportunity to sit down with two authors who are at the top of the genre. Alex Bledsoe is that author of the Tufa and Firefly Watch series, as well as many more. David B. Coe is the author of the critically acclaimed ThiefTaker novels, the Winds of the Forelands series, and more. Together, they sit down to discuss the challenges and relief that comes with switching up genres, the battles they fought to select their own cover (and their relief that they lost), and the authors that inspire their work. In addition, Josh and Dietrich talk about a wide range of books, from a nonfiction look at the bizarre science behind the military, to a densely complex fantasy series that Josh seems somewhat divided upon. Finally, Josh announces the next Library Police book club selection with Atonement, by Ian McEwan. If you have questions or comments, you can reach us at librarypolicequestions@gmail.com.
