Episode 148: Catching Up On The Pile

Picture
If you're one of the listeners who complain that Dietrich and Josh read too much, this might not be the best episode for you. This week, the pair forgo a main topic and anything off the bookshelves in favor of discussing nearly TWENTY BOOKS. That's right, after a month away from the podcast, Josh returns with a staggering number of books to discuss, and Dietrich is right behind him. Ever wanted to hear them discuss a book that Josh describes as "a darker version of 'To Kill A Mockingbird'?" We've got you covered. A light, modern day fairytale celebrating literature and bookstores? Oh, yeah, we've got that too. A graphic novel that opens with the brutal slaughter of a family? Bit of an odd request, that, but we can hook you up. Economics? Alternate history? Steampunk? Noir? Dystopia? Postapocalyptic? Necrophilia? Check, check, check, check, check, check, and eeewwwww, but check. It's enough to stock your summer reading list and then some, and trust us, there are some real gems among the collection. You can send questions or comments to questions@thelibrarypolice.com.
